Bessie R. Hayes has served as the Chief Operating Officer of Carolina Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Anthony E. Moore since March 2002 and has over fifteen years of executive level church administration and nonprofit management experience.
Her expertise includes project management, business administration, financial, property, human resources, contract and office management. She has fifteen years of information systems expertise, with an emphasis in the telephony industry.
Mrs. Hayes manages Carolina’s HIV/AIDS initiatives and coordinates HIV/AIDs education, awareness and testing. She has served as the Vice President of the Harambee Community Development Corporation since April 2003. She is the project manager for its “My Sisters’ Keeper” project, which when built will provide innovative state-of-the-art services for single mothers who have HIV/AIDS and their children. Mrs. Hayes provides day-to-day interaction with community partners, architects, engineers, constituents and government agencies.
