de Raye Sisco, a native Washingtonian, spent the first season of her career in health administration. After 15 years of committed service, the Lord led de Raye to leave Corporate America, when she was, at the time, serving in dual roles as the Compliance Director at the Washington Hospital Center and Corporate Compliance Manager of its parent company, MedStar Health. She then faithfully served as the Chief Operating Officer at her home church, The New Macedonia Baptist Church, in Washington, DC for over 15 years. Responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial management for the church’s main campus in Southeast, Washington, DC and its Evangel Campus in Northeast, Washington, DC, de Raye was also responsible for the management of the church’s Robert L. Walls Senior Citizens Center, a 48-unit apartment building, The New Macedonia Christian Academy, as well as the management of three rental properties, and the construction and purchase of new property. Resigning from her position in February 2020, de Raye began serving as the Church Administrator for Living Word International Christian Church in Silver Spring, Maryland in March 2020, just one day before the state of Maryland shut down public gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic outbreak. Her leadership skills were immediately put into action. At Living Word International Christian Church, Mrs. Sisco was responsible for the day-to-day business and financial operations of the church and the childcare center. de Raye, sensing she was on the brink of a new season, resigned from Living Word International Christian Church in December 2022 and has focused her time serving multiple churches and non-profits through her church operations consulting company, Jethro Church Management. It is her desire to help pastors and church leaders establish or improve their church’s organizational structure, increase funding through grant writing, serve as an “Administrator OnDemand,” as needed, and strengthen internal financial controls for the purpose of effective ministry. Additionally, de Raye serves as the Executive Director of the Collective Empowerment Group, a national faith-based organization which leverages partnerships with financial institutions and local businesses to empower local churches and communities economically.
de Raye holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Towson University in Towson, Maryland and a Master of Health Administration degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. A committed learner, who consistently strives for excellence, de Raye has earned her certification in church administration by The Church Network (TCN), formerly known as the National Association of Church Business Administration. She has also served on the Governance Committee of TCN and she is pleased to serve as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Network of Church Administrators. Mrs. Sisco is also a sought-after facilitator for staff retreats, various leadership training sessions and conferences.
de Raye is married to the love of her life, Reverend Jeff Sisco and she is blessed with two beautiful adult bonus daughters, Kierra Sisco and Jacqui Sisco, and four delightful bonus grandchildren, Jayla, Ava, Chase, and Maison.
Personally and professionally, de Raye strives to rest in God’s sovereignty, trusting His word…“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV.
